We implemented a targeted intervention strategy in focus schools that had large gaps by providing ongoing central support through our Student Achievement team.&nbsp;Teachers, along with their administrators, engage together in professional learning as well as receive individual support in the classroom. Learning focussed on good math instruction, using problem-solving, working with numbers, mastering math facts, applying an understanding of number properties and developing proficiency with operations, as well as good assessment strategies support student learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Grade 3, our Board average of students achieving level three and four was 45%, compared to the province with 58%. In Grade 6, 42% of our students achieved level three and four compared to the province with 48%.
